Stephanie &amp; Rafael invite you for the celebration of their marriage in the colonial town of Santa Anita, Jalisco, Mexico.Our celebration will begin with a ceremony in the tradition of the Roman Catholic Church followed by a reception and fiesta at the Hacienda del Oro. We know joining a wedding is a big effort, and we are grateful to have you with us. Our guests are coming from all over the world, and we look forward to treating our loved ones with a full party and weekend celebration in a Mexican style with an international twist. Stephanie y Rafael te invitan a celebrar su matrimonio en el pueblo colonial de Santa Anita, Jalisco, Mexico. Nuestra celebracion comenzara con una ceremonia en la tradicion de la Iglesia Catolica Romana, seguida de una recepcion y una gran fiesta en la Hacienda del Oro. Sabemos que asistir a una boda implica un gran esfuerzo, y estamos profundamente agradecidos de contar con tu presencia. Nuestros invitados vienen de todas partes del mundo, y deseamos ofrecerles una celebracion de fin de semana al puro estilo mexicano, con un toque internacional.

Our Wedding

Traveling for a wedding is a big undertaking. Some of our guests are road tripping, some are flying in &amp; out quickly to celebrate, and others are coming from afar and want to take advantage of the trip by spending a few extra days enjoying Mexico. Please share with us your travel plans once you have them so we can help make the most of our time together. Viajar para una boda es todo un acontecimiento. Algunos de nuestros invitados haran un viaje por carretera, otros volaran solo por unos dias para celebrar, y algunos mas vienen desde lejos y quieren aprovechar el viaje para pasar unos dias adicionales disfrutando de Mexico. Por favor, comparte con nosotros tus planes de viaje una vez que los tengas, para que podamos ayudarte a aprovechar al maximo el tiempo que pasemos juntos.

Join us back at the Hacienda for a relaxed brunch the morning after our celebration. We will enjoy a simple, Mexican breakfast with fresh food, coffee, and juices to refuel after the night. Let's hang out one last time to share photos and laughs. Guests leaving this day are welcome to bring their suitcases and hang out with us until it is time to leave. Acompananos de regreso a la Hacienda para un brunch relajado la manana despues de nuestra celebracion. Disfrutaremos de un desayuno mexicano sencillo, con comida fresca, cafe y jugos para recargar energias despues de la fiesta. Pasemos un ultimo rato juntos compartiendo fotos y risas. Los invitados que partan ese dia pueden traer sus maletas y quedarse con nosotros hasta la hora de su salida.

Traveling to Guadalajara // Tu viaje a Guadalajara

Most of our guests will be flying into Guadalajara Airport (GDL). The drive from Guadalajara to Santa Anita is ~30km (35-45 minutes depending on traffic) and can be done using Taxi/Uber. Taxi estimates are 650-800 pesos, Uber will be competitive but vary based on time. For guests wanting to share the trip with others, we are happy to help coordinate closer to the date of arrival.For guests coming from Europe - there are direct flights from Madrid to Guadalajara. Or fly first to Mexico City, then Mexico City to Guadalajara airport.Taxis &amp; Ubers are inexpensive to use once you're in Santa Anita, as the town is small and easy to navigate. La mayoria de nuestros invitados volaran al Aeropuerto de Guadalajara (GDL). El trayecto desde Guadalajara hasta Santa Anita es de aproximadamente 30 km (entre 35 y 45 minutos, segun el trafico) y puede hacerse facilmente en taxi o Uber. El costo estimado del taxi es de 650 a 800 pesos, mientras que Uber suele ser una opcion competitiva, aunque puede variar segun la hora. Para los invitados que deseen compartir el viaje con otros, estaremos encantados de ayudar a coordinarlo mas cerca de la fecha de llegada.Para los invitados que viajan desde Europa, existen vuelos directos desde Madrid a Guadalajara, o pueden volar primero a Ciudad de Mexico y luego tomar un vuelo a Guadalajara.Una vez en Santa Anita, moverse es muy facil: el pueblo es pequeno y los taxis y Ubers son economicos y convenientes.

The Church &amp; Hacienda are located in Santa Anita, just 1.7 km from each other.Guests are invited to stay nearby in hotels &amp; airbnbs.Our day begins on Saturday at the Church for a 1 pm Ceremony. We will provide a shuttle between the Church and the Hacienda, and offer a Shuttle at the end of the night to take you back to your hotel/airbnb. La Iglesia y la Hacienda se encuentran en Santa Anita, a solo 1.7 km de distancia.Los invitados pueden hospedarse cerca, en hoteles o Airbnbs de la zona.Nuestro dia comenzara el sabado con la ceremonia en la iglesia a la 1:00 p.m.. Ofreceremos un servicio de transporte entre la iglesia y la hacienda, asi como un shuttle al final de la noche para llevarte de regreso a tu hotel o Airbnb.

Our love story includes an important part of our shared Mexican Heritage.Less than a year into our relationship, we road-tripped through North America and Mexico to meet each other's extended families. Our Story

In 2024, two hearts found each other in the most unlikely of places and joined as one. Deep down, Rafael always believed his heart would recognize the woman that carried the vibrant Mexican spirit he had always cherished. But after several years in Berlin, he had given up on finding her in the chaos of the city and set plans in motion to return to Switzerland. Meanwhile, Stephanie was just arriving in Berlin. She had left the United States years earlier, searching for a place her heart could call home. Unsure but full of faith, she moved to the city with dreams of dancing, learning German, and building her bodywork and massage practice. A few weeks into her move, and just two days before Rafael was set to leave, their paths crossed.Our first meeting unfolded at a cozy tea house. Stephanie rushed in a few minutes late, unsure what to expect. Rafael waited patiently in the courtyard. As we sat across from each other, we both knew that life had finally brought us the blessing we had always dreamed of. Day after day, we grew together, quickly forgetting what life was life before meeting. The summer of 2024 tested us. Rafael relocated to Switzerland, while Stephanie stayed in Germany. We weren’t sure how we’d make it work, but our determination never wavered and we continued to love each other from a distance. That fall, we took a bold step as a new couple: a two-month adventure through the United States and Mexico to meet each other’s extended families. We road-tripped across Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio to connect with Stephanie’s American family. Then we headed west, crossing the southern border into Tijuana to visit Stephanie’s Mexican relatives before journeying to Central Mexico to celebrate the new year with Rafael’s family. The Pacheco family showed up in full force. Together we gathered, 22 strong in Tepoztlán, and Stephanie fit right in like she’d always belonged. We began 2025 by moving into our first apartment together before quickly realizing that Berlin no longer felt like home. We knew where we were headed, together, and took the next logical step. In July 2025, we married quickly and quietly, surrounded by our immediately family, in a self-officiated ceremony in Washington D.C. A necessary legal step so that our nations would allow us to be together. Now, we’re thrilled to celebrate our union with God’s blessings and our extended families in Guadalajara, Mexico. So grab your dancing shoes and join us for an unforgettable fiesta full of tradition and tacos. We can’t wait to raise a toast with you!
